The Where and Why
Tucked away in the heart of Fortuneswell, our little library began as an idea within our LGBTQ+ Support Group. Resources for our community are few and far between in Weymouth – and even more so on Portland – and we felt it was time to change that. So we did.

The Who

The library is looked after by a small team of volunteers – Amanda, Ash, Nat, and Rocca. They’re a friendly and approachable bunch, always happy to lend a hand if you have any questions. And if there’s something you’re after but can’t find, they’ll do their best to point you in the right direction or help track it down.
The What
Our collection is small but steadily growing (we gladly welcome donations!), and it’s not just limited to books. We also stock a variety of leaflets to help you access support, guidance, and advice from a range of charities and organisations.
And yes, the kettle’s usually on – so come in, have a browse, and enjoy a cuppa while you’re here.
The When
We’re usually open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 15:00 to 18:00. If we’re ever unable to open as planned, we’ll pop a notice up here, and on our Facebook page, to let you know. Outside of those hours, we’re often around and happy to open up for visitors by appointment – just drop us a line at admin@tinylibrary.co.uk and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
